Cottage kitchen is pretty as a picture

It was indeed a pleasure to work on this project with a client who had recently bought the property, in need of some updating, including a total kitchen renovation.

The original kitchen had limited cabinet space and the dark walls made the room seem smaller.

Choosing pale colours on the walls and kitchen cabinets has opened up the room and helps reflects the natural light.

There is a real summer feel about the place.

The client chose 'Pale Powder' from the Farrow & Ball range with Kashmir White granite tops

The Everhot range oven and the Suffolk Pamment floor tiles from Bromley & Fitch
add to the country kitchen feel.

Hand made, hand painted tiles by Alice Gibbons

The regency style chairs and gate legged table are a lovely addition to the room.

Meet the neighbours

Can we introduce you to our lovely neighbours, The Clare Hall Company, who interestingly provide unusual pieces to the TV and Film industry including Harry Potter, Braveheart and Robin Hood. Aside from this, however, they are makers and restorers of fine furniture and replica 17th & 19th century terrestrial globes and really are very talented bunch!

Quooker in the kitchen

There are many uses for the Quooker tap but for new mum's and dad's - how about warming baby's milk? Ingenious!

Quooker, the one and only 100°C boiling water tap, available at Baker & Baker.  Visit the showroom for a demonstration.

A beautiful kitchen for a beautiful room

One of our favourites, this Classic English kitchen was designed and made for a new build in Cambridgeshire

So much light and space makes the room incredibly welcoming and comfortable

A Rayburn cooker perfectly placed amongst wood and painted cabinets

L-shaped island with seating and oak counter top

Free standing double dresser with glazed display

Kashmir White granite works wonderfully with the English oak cabinets and the 'Drab' paint from the Farrow & Ball collection

Pippy oak, what's knot to like?

We had the pleasure of working on this project with a client renovating and extending a period property.  Alterations included the replacement of a very old, very cluttered existing kitchen......

They were fairly clear on what they wanted the new kitchen to be - practical, spacious, simple but not plain.  They chose our Classic English design with painted and wood cabinets.

With the low ceilings and limited natural light it was important not to over-crowd the room with wall cabinets

The central island is painted in Fired Earth Turkish Blue with oak handles .  Note the desk area to the right of the island with handy drawer storage!

Hand made, hand painted tiles have since been fitted in the alcove above the Everhot range oven

A love of real wood, the grain was to stand out. We suggested Pippy Oak recognisable by it's prominent knotty pattern.

Full height curved corner cabinet with curved doors

and large double larder offer ample storage space
