Pippy oak, what's knot to like?

We had the pleasure of working on this project with a client renovating and extending a period property.  Alterations included the replacement of a very old, very cluttered existing kitchen......

They were fairly clear on what they wanted the new kitchen to be - practical, spacious, simple but not plain.  They chose our Classic English design with painted and wood cabinets.

With the low ceilings and limited natural light it was important not to over-crowd the room with wall cabinets

The central island is painted in Fired Earth Turkish Blue with oak handles .  Note the desk area to the right of the island with handy drawer storage!

Hand made, hand painted tiles have since been fitted in the alcove above the Everhot range oven

A love of real wood, the grain was to stand out. We suggested Pippy Oak recognisable by it's prominent knotty pattern.

Full height curved corner cabinet with curved doors

and large double larder offer ample storage space
